Recycling At TOAST

Everyone leaves a carbon footprint on the world; it's up to you how deep it is! A carbon footprint measures the impact that our activities have on our environment in regards to the amount of greenhouse gases produced (carbon dioxide). By reducing the energy and fossil fuels that we each use, you can save the environment from further damage. Some ways to do this are:

* Buy reusable shopping bags instead of using plastic bags

* Purchase a reusable water bottle and coffee mugs

* Unplug toasters, microwaves, coffee makers, dvd players, etc. to cut down on energy bills

*Turn your computer and printer off when not in use (instead of sleep or stand by mode)

* Switch to compact fluorescent light bulbs

* Combine your errands into one trip to use less gas

* Recycle newspapers, papers, glass, soda bottles, metal cans, cartridges, etc

* Turn off the water while you are brushing your teeth

* Turn off the lights when they are not in use
